Calling out for Cohort 6!

We’re always keeping our blog up to date with our latest company updates and helpful information for both businesses and people looking to get into work. Feel free to check out some of our other updates or get in touch if we can help in any way.

December may be the month that many businesses begin to unwind but at Geon, it’s one of our busiest as we get set to launch two of our most career-defining traineeships!

For those who haven’t already heard of a Traineeship, where have you been? Traineeships are THE BEST type of training course (in our opinion!) because they are a real game-changer. Perfectly blending well-rounded qualifications and skills with meaningful work experience to boost your employability as well as your confidence. Our traineeships are fully funded and are best suited to unemployed individuals aged between 19-24 years old and who are not currently in any other form of formal education.

First to land this month is our traditional BUILD UP Construction traineeship!

From the office to on-site, the demand for skilled professionals in the construction industry is increasing and as a result, presents some very appealing salaries to get your hands on!

Designed from the ground up, the BUILD UP traineeship is the perfect solution for those keen to embark on a new career that is hands-on in either construction or boat making. Yep! You read that right: Boating! We’ve partnered with Olympic Boat Builders, Ovington Boats to help them bring their projects to life.

In addition, we are still running our tried, tested and true Build Up Construction Programme that will support employers like RE:GEN, MGM Group, Shaw Construction, HSS, and more.

Within just 6-8 short weeks you’ll receive a mix of classroom training at Geon HQ covering topics such as:

To complement this, you’ll be placed into work experience with our trusted network of employers to help put your theory into reality. Here you’ll explore a range of roles and career paths in the Construction & Boating sectors to determine which is right for you. (Given that there are over 100x different roles to choose from, you really are spoilt for choice!)
