Job Description

Are you looking to explore a career within the Construction Sector with a particular focus on Green Skills? Then look no further. We’ve got just the opportunity for you as a Plumber.

Designed with one of our employer partners, this course will be delivered by ourselves at RE:GEN Academy to provide you with hands-on experience and on the job training so you can put your skills straight to the test. With an end result of gaining all relevant knowledge and training to be with the chance of progressing into a specialist role as a Plumber.


This is a unique model that has been designed with our employers, to educate and attract young vibrant talent into the sector and help you climb the career ladder. You will gain knowledge and qualifications specifically in Retrofit and Construction Green Skills which play a huge part in the role.

Daily responsibilities:

If successful, you will progress into a Plumber position where you will be supervised to cover all aspects of the role. As your skill base increases you will undertake the following:

  • Work under the guidance of experienced plumbers to assist in the installation of plumbing systems in residential properties, including piping, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Help troubleshoot plumbing issues and make necessary repairs.
  • Familiarise yourself with local plumbing codes and regulations to ensure all work meets compliance standards.
  • Develop skills in identifying and troubleshooting plumbing issues, and participate in repairs and maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Learn to read blueprints and follow instructions to complete tasks.
  • Perform basic math calculations to measure and cut pipes accurately.
  • Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing information and addressing any concerns under the guidance of senior plumbers.
  • Learn to properly use and maintain tools and equipment related to plumbing tasks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent on tasks, and any additional relevant information.
