Designed with our employer partner Sekura Commercials Ltd, this course will be delivered by ourselves at RE:GEN Academy to provide you with hands-on experience and on the job training so you can put your skills straight to the test. With an end result of gaining all relevant knowledge and training to be with the chance of progressing into a role at Sekura Commercials Ltd.

This is a unique model that has been designed with our employers, to educate and attract vibrant talent into the sector. You will gain knowledge and qualifications in the construction and build environment. You will also be working towards gaining other certifications that are mandatory for the construction sector.

Additionally, if required, you will have the opportunity to work towards gaining your driving licence with 20 hours of FREE Driving Lessons as part of the programme.

Daily responsibilities:

As a trainee, you will work under supervision to become a proficient window and door installer and be progressed onto a NVQ level 2 Window and Door Installer fenestration qualification. As your skill base increases you will undertake the following:

• Assist the lead installer with removing old units and installing new windows, doors, and conservatories

• Prepare the site before and during installation work

• Load and unload materials on and off the van

• Carry materials and tools safely around site

• Measure, fix new fittings, and apply sealing under supervision

• Maintain site safety, cleanliness, and tidiness at all times

• Learn to work with PVCu products and follow all health and safety procedures

Requirements:

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and follow instructions

• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment

• Customer care skills

• Good attention to detail

• You must be 19+ due to Health & Safety Requirements

• Drivers desirable however, if you do not drive, you must be able to travel to sites in the North East, mainly the Head office in Houghton Le Spring at 7am daily).

Salary & Benefits:

• £12.27 per hour (Paid weekly)
