Designed with our employer partner Dell Roofing, this course will be delivered by ourselves at RE:GEN Academy to provide you with hands-on experience and on the job training so you can put your skills straight to the test. With an end result of gaining all relevant knowledge and training to be with the chance of progressing into a role with our employer partner.

This is a unique model that has been designed with our employers, to educate and attract vibrant talent into the sector. You will gain knowledge and qualifications in the construction and build environment. You will also be working towards gaining other certifications that are mandatory for the construction sector.

Duties Include:

In this role, you will undergo comprehensive training to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to become a proficient Trainee Roofer. We are looking for someone to begin in a trainee role and progress through learning on the job skills to achieve their accredited qualifications. We are looking for someone who is career driven and eager to learn. As a trainee you will be expected to assist and carry out a wide range of roofing and roofline repairs including:

• Using slate, plain and interlocking tiles
• Carrying out pointing to verges and chimney stacks
• Fascia and soffit repairs
• Rainwater goods and other general repairs on socials housing properties.

Requirements for a Roofing Trainee:

• Physically fit

• Able to work as part of a team

• Able to take instruction

• Willing to learn

• Excellent attendance

• Respectful and Polite

• Comfortable working at a height and in all weathers

• Must be over 19 due to health and safety regulations.

Salary:

• National Minimum Wage £12.21 (21 and over) £10.00 (19-20 Year-olds)
