Vacancy: Learner Engagement Officer

Location: Doxford Park, Sunderland

Contract: Permanent, full time. Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm.

Salary: £22,000 – £26,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify, attract and shortlist candidates using all appropriate methods to satisfy course and employer requirements
  • Monitor responses/applications received and make sure that candidate’s applications are processed efficiently
  • Matching candidates to our existing & new client base and vice versa, as well as arranging interviews/meetings between the two.
  • Marketing recruitment services through a variety of platforms.
  • Strategic business development through networking, hosting and attending events.
  • Initiate, manage and develop candidate/client relationships.
  • Understand and meet agreed KPIs and targets
  • Ensuring that applicants are fully inducted and understand the requirements prior to their start date and complete registration paperwork where necessary.

Key Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in a recruitment role
  • Ability to judge & prioritise multiple demands whilst delivering fast-paced service excellence
  • Competitive with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good understanding of MS office packages
  • Knowledge of government funded employment and training programmes is preferred but not essential
  • Level 2 or higher Recruitment & resourcing qualification – preferred but not essential
  • Full driving licence – Preferred but not essential

Provide general administrative support to the recruitment function:

  • Understand and support the sales process providing first line support for all enquiries
  • Provide pre-employment and compliance checks in line with company policy and relevant legislation
  • Complete registrations with learners using various government registration platforms
  • Develop an understanding of government funding and the training industry
  • Provide support to ensure that the candidates and clients always receive a professional and comprehensive service
  • Comply with company management systems.
  • Always seek and provide feedback in a professional manner to clients
