Job Description

Are you looking to explore a career within the Construction Sector with a particular focus on Green Skills? Then look no further. We’ve got just the opportunity for you as a Dryliner.

Designed with one of our employer partners, this course will be delivered by ourselves at RE:GEN Academy to provide you with hands-on experience and on the job training so you can put your skills straight to the test. With an end result of gaining all relevant knowledge and training to be with the chance of progressing into a specialist role as a Dryliner.

 

This is a unique model that has been designed with our employers, to educate and attract young vibrant talent into the sector and help you climb the career ladder. You will gain knowledge and qualifications specifically in Retrofit and Construction Green Skills which play a huge part in the role.

Daily responsibilities:

If successful, you will progress into an Dryliner position where you will be supervised to cover all aspects of the role. As your skill base increases you will undertake the following:

  • Measuring and cutting plasterboard to the right size.
  • Measuring and cutting metal or timber framework to the right size.
  • Installing framework ready for boarding.
  • Fixing plasterboard to metal/timber framework.
  • Cutting boards to fit around different openings ie: windows, doors.
  • Sealing joints with tape and fill products.
  • Sanding joints ready for a paint finish.
  • Following plans/drawings showing wall and ceiling locations.
  • Installing products as per manufacturer’s guidance.
  • Using different types of access equipment.
  • Following strict health and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Due to health and Safety Regulations, you must be 19+ to apply for this position.
